While You Care:

A Caregiver Support Circle

A monthly circle for caregivers navigating anticipatory grief.

You’re Caring for Someone You Love.

But Who’s Caring for You?

Caring for a loved one while knowing goodbye is coming is one of the heaviest burdens you can carry.

It’s not just about doctor visits, medications, or logistics.

It’s about the quiet grief that begins long before loss.

The guilt for wishing you had a break.

The exhaustion of being “on” all the time.

The loneliness of feeling invisible when everyone only asks about them.

The constant tug-of-war between holding on and preparing to let go

Welcome to While You Care: A Caregiver Support Circle

While You Care: A Caregiver Support Circle is a monthly circle created for caregivers and family members walking through anticipatory grief.

It’s not therapy. It’s not another overwhelming “to-do.”
It’s a safe, empowering space designed to give you what you’ve been missing:

Connection with others who understand.

Practical self-care tools you can actually use in daily life.

Relief from carrying it all alone.

Why Join?

The Heart Behind the Circle

I’m Simone Burke-Cousins, LMSW, and my heart is firmly rooted in the space where love and loss meet. Over the years, I’ve walked alongside countless caregivers and families who are doing their best to show up each day while quietly anticipating goodbye. I know how heavy that in-between place can feel — and how rarely it’s acknowledged or supported.

That’s why I created the While You Care: a community grounded in compassion, honest conversations, and practical support. Together, we make room for the grief that begins long before loss, and we remind each other that caring for ourselves is just as important as caring for the ones we love.

You deserve care, too — and I’m honored to walk with you.

What clients say about us

From the moment I met Simone, I knew I was in the presence of someone special. She is kind, gentle, and genuinely cares about others. While she is not my personal therapist, there is a healing sense of peace every time I connect with her.

She creates a safe space without prying, simply reminding you that you are not alone. Through many seasons of my life, Simone’s wisdom and presence helped me navigate difficult moments with greater strength and clarity.

- Workshop Attendee A.G.

I’ve known Simone for about five years, and she is one of the kindest and most compassionate people I know. She is deeply educated, yet incredibly down to earth, and clearly walks in her purpose.

Through her own life experiences, Simone has found her passion and uses it to educate and support others through grief. As I navigate anticipatory grief, I continue to engage with her, and her presence, insight, and guidance have been grounding and reassuring.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is While You Care: A Caregiver Support Circle?

It’s a monthly support circle for caregivers and family members experiencing anticipatory grief — offering a safe, guided space to connect, reflect, and care for yourself while caring for someone you love.

Is this therapy?

No. This is a coaching and support-based circle. While I am a Licensed Master Social Worker, in this space I show up as a Grief Care Specialist and Educator — supporting emotional wellness through guidance, resources, and community, not clinical treatment.

Who is this circle for?

This circle supports those caring for loved ones experiencing health-related decline — including aging, dementia, chronic illness, neurodegenerative conditions, cancer, and other progressive health challenges.

Do I need to be the primary caregiver?

Not at all. Many members are in shared-care roles or supporting loved ones from afar — anticipatory grief affects anyone who cares deeply.

What if I’m overwhelmed and fall behind?

There is no “behind” here. You can join calls when you can, explore tools at your own pace, and return anytime. This circle is designed for real caregivers with real responsibilities.

What kind of support will I receive?

You’ll receive practical coping tools, emotional guidance, a sense of community, space to process your experience, and reminders that your care matters too.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. You are always free to discontinue your membership whenever you need to — no pressure, no long-term commitment.

Is this only for end-of-life caregiving?

No. While many members are caring for someone nearing end-of-life, this circle also supports those walking alongside loved ones facing chronic illness, dementia, or other health-related changes where the future feels uncertain.

This space is focused specifically on the caregiving experience of anticipatory grief. For those navigating grief around other major life transitions (like divorce or relocation), separate support options are available to better meet those unique needs.

You’ve given so much of yourself already.
This circle is where you finally get to refill your own cup — so you can keep showing up with love, without losing yourself along the way.
